Program Overview

We envision to produce media practitioners and leaders as well as media thinkers and researchers who are professional, innovative, dynamic, critical, responsible and ethical in creating mass media product and generating innovations and ideas so as to help realize Malaysia’s aspiration to become a media and communication hub in the Asian region.

Objectives

  • Acquire the theoretical and knowledge in the field of media and communication.
  • Acquire skills in writing, layout, planning and event management.
  • Acquire effective writing, listening, speaking, interaction skills and able to execute them responsibly.
  • Demonstrate critical and scientific thinking through observation and awareness regarding current issues.
  • Display the ability to plan, execute and demonstrate leadership skills and teamwork in all endeavors.
  • Seek and manage information skillfully with interest and ability for lifelong learning.
  • Explore and implement entrepreneurial opportunities creatively and innovatively, and
  • Inculcate professionalism and ethics when communicating

Entry Requirements

General Requirement

1. Complete 12 years of Primary and High School education; and
2. Obtain High School (e.g. Higher Secondary Certificate, Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate, Tawjihiyah, Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Atas, High School Diploma); and
3. Meet minimum English requirement set by faculty; and
4. Pass UKM interview (if required) ; and
5. Meet faculty specific requirement;
